I heard Sidney Poiter talk about how his shadow provided much amusement when he was a child on NPR this morning.
And you just refreshed that foggy pre-coffee memory.

My husband is an adorable bobble-headed alien.
Mt. Angel is also home to one of Oregon’s few world class pieces of architecture, the Alvar Aalto library, just cut off on the left of the photo, I think. It’s a marvel of natural light and sensitivity to local context. Brian Libby has a sweet photo gallery here. The Gordon House, a Wright Usonian house, is nearby at the Oregon Garden, but it suffers mightily in the comparison.
