We just moved to Salem a little less than a month ago, and we've been exploring the area in both the real and virtual worlds, and your blog has been a great guide. We visited the fair twice while it was here, once for the demolition derby, and once for the roller derby (we are big fans of derbys). We had a fantastic time, although it did seem a little small for a state fair. We moved here from Nashville, TN, which is prime fair country, in case you didn't know. While the people watching here wasn't quite as good as it can be at the Cheatham County Fair, it still felt like a tiny piece of home. Compared to the Indiana State Fair, which is far from the largest, this thing is tiny. Of course the grounds don't house an ice skating arena, a huge dirt track with massive amphitheater and miles and miles of animal buildings. I think Minnesota has the largest, doesn't it?
