I suggest just finding your local pinot papa and mooching off of him. I'm all about learning by osmosis.

Wow, that's so cool! I've always wanted to learn to make wine. We planted a plum tree in our yard a couple of years ago, and I'm still waiting for enough fruit... One of these days I might finally get to give it a try!

Jealous. One of the many, many reasons I am happy with our move to Salem. I tried making wine for a while, and beer too. Both very satisfying. I love the gurgle. I gave up however, and have set my sights on another joy of the mycological variety - cheese making. I recently found a place that provides lessons and will sell raw goat milkto you, not to mention all of the supplies. I will let you know how the chevre turns out.
