Reason: Once the baby comes, you have a lot less time/money/energy for fun lunches at nice restaurants. Babies are fun in themselves, of course, but it's a different kind of fun. It's a kind you can't speed up, for one thing. My son was three weeks "late" so I know this part seems really LONG. So...since you can't make the baby come quicker, you might as well enjoy yourself and make the "My Favorite Restaurant" circuit often in the waning days of Non-Motherhood. Those are days, after all, that will end, dramatically or not, with very little notice. Emily, I am liking the “La Capitale” idea a lot.
